Tell Smolyaninov to make a record of the folio wing arrangement with Krzhizhanovsky:

Nazvanov will be appointed to an economic job by Krzhizhanovsky, with a full report submitted on the results of this work within two months, and this work should be arranged in such a way as to have every possibility of assessing Nazvanov’s efficiency and qualities. Let Comrade   Smolyaninov give me a reminder of this upon my return to work.^[1]
