[1] Lenin’s note to Krasin, People’s Commissar for Trade and Industry, was written in connection with a report by W.  Jastrzembski, a former leader of the Polish Socialist Party, who was then in Russia, on the results of his journey to Warsaw undertaken to explore the possibility of establishing trade and cultural relations between the Soviet Republic and Poland. Owing to the resistance of the Right-wing leaders of the Polish Socialist Party, his mission was unsuccessful. Despite this Lenin was in favour of continuing negotiations.
