Images indicate light aircraft collided with tallest building in Beijing¶
Social medai video and photos show debris and wreckage at base of 109-storey China Zun tower.
Images circulating on social media are indicating that a light aircraft has collided with one of the upper floors of the China Zun skyscraper in Beijing.
Video images show debris falling to the ground adjacent to the building — which has a height of 528m (1,730ft) — and photos purporting to show wreckage suggest it is consistent with a Chinese-registered Sunward SA 60L.
The SA 60L is a Chinese-built single-seat sports aircraft.
No official information has been released about the occurrence — which seems to have taken place on 26 June — or the condition of the pilot.
China Zun, also known as the CITIC tower, is the tallest building in the Chinese capital.
