Airbus first-half backlog reveals new order for 40 A320neo-family jets¶
Defence agreement for single A330-800 also features in airframer’s June activity.
Airbus has revealed an order for 40 A320neo-family twinjets, assigned to an unidentified customer, in its backlog figures for the first half of this year.
They comprise 24 A321neos and 16 A320neos.
The airframer also listed the 18 A330-900s for Scandinavia’s SAS, plus a single aircraft for Air Algerie.
Airbus’s defence division is taking an A330-800 — the airframerdisclosed two years agothat it would be offering a tanker version of the platform — while Airbus is acquiring a -900.
The single-aisle activity for June included six A321neos and A320neos for Scoot, plus four aircraft for an undisclosed customer and one for a private client.
Airbus has secured net orders for 822 aircraft in the first six months of 2026.
It also delivered 351 jets over the period, compared with last year’s first-half figure of 306, a rise of nearly 15%.
